The Draper Richards Kaplan (DRK) Foundation supports early-stage organizations addressing critical social and environmental challenges with innovative and scalable solutions. The foundation focuses on organizations that have demonstrated initial success and are ready to scale their impact.
DRK combines financial support with operational and strategic guidance, including:
Dedicated board mentorship
Organizational development
Fundraising and leadership support
Scaling strategies
Community network of portfolio organizations for shared learning
Independent nonprofits
Mission-driven for-profit entities (C Corps, B Corps, hybrid organizations)
Fiscally sponsored organizations planning for independence
Operating post-pilot, pre-scale, typically 2–5 years old
Proven model with early indications of impact
Founders deeply connected to the communities they serve
Geographic focus: Africa, Europe, India, USA (select opportunities in Latin America and Israel)
Online submission (30–60 minutes)
Business plan or pitch deck outlining:
Mission and social problem addressed
Unique solution
Demonstrated impact to date
Multi-stage selection process including interviews and due diligence
Unrestricted funding to scale operations
Strategic guidance and mentorship
Access to DRK’s global network and operational resources
