Location: Chinsali Constituency, Zambia
Target Groups: Cooperatives, clubs, associations, and organized community groups
The Chinsali Municipal Council, through the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) Committee, invites applications for community-based projects aimed at:
Fostering employment creation and socio-economic development.
Promoting climate resilience through sustainable practices.
Supporting inclusive participation, especially for women and persons with disabilities.
This initiative is operationalized under Article 162 of the Constitution of Zambia (Amendment) Act No. 41 of 2016 and the CDF Act No. 1 of 2024.
To qualify, applicant groups must:
Consist of at least 10 members.
Have an active and valid bank account or mobile wallet under the group’s name.
Reside in the Chinsali Constituency for at least six months.
Propose projects within the constituency that demonstrate employment creation potential.
Special Focus: 50% of funds are dedicated to climate resilience projects, such as:
Water provision for production
Small-scale irrigation systems
Agricultural inputs (seeds, fertilizer)
Capacity-building to increase household/group productivity
Other climate resilience interventions may be considered with Ministry approval.
Collect Application Forms (free of charge) from:
Ward Development Committee (WDC) representatives
District Commissioner’s Office
National Assembly Office
Chinsali Municipal Council Civic Centre
Complete the forms clearly and legibly, adhering to instructions.
Submit completed applications to the Department of Development Planning via the appropriate WDC representatives.
Women and persons with disabilities are strongly encouraged to apply.
Applications are aimed at grassroots, community-driven initiatives.
Projects should align with employment creation, socio-economic development, and climate resilience objectives.
