🇦🇺 Australia Day Community Events Grant Program 2026

The Australia Day Community Events Grant Program invites applications from local councils and community organizations across Australia to support inclusive and engaging events that celebrate Australia Day 2026.
This initiative provides funding to ensure that communities can come together in meaningful ways that reflect, respect, and celebrate the nation’s diversity, unity, and shared values.
Base Grant: $10,000 (GST exclusive) to support inclusive and accessible Australia Day events.
Additional Grant: $5,000 (GST exclusive) – for events that include significant Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander cultural elements.
Alternate Grant: $2,000 (GST exclusive) – for smaller, community-focused events (with a cap applied).
Events funded under this program are expected to:
Enable broad community participation.
Reflect, respect, and celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ histories and cultures.
Foster inclusion and accessibility, ensuring opportunities for people with disability, young people, and diverse community groups.
Strengthen civic pride and community connection.
Support local businesses and community groups through partnerships.
Promote the official messaging: “Reflect. Respect. Celebrate.”
