Target Audience: Individuals passionate about dyslexia advocacy and inclusive education
Objective:
Equip individuals with skills, knowledge, and confidence to become grassroots dyslexia advocates, dismantle stigma, and promote inclusive education across Africa.
World-Class Training: Learn from global experts in learning differences and inclusive education.
Continental Recognition: Officially represent ADO in your country.
Networking: Join a pan-African network of changemakers.
Leadership Development: Gain experience in public engagement, policy influence, and grassroots mobilization.
Certification: Receive a formal certificate as a Certified Africa Dyslexia Advocate.
Visibility: Your work will be showcased through ADO’s channels.
Mentorship: Opportunities to mentor future cohorts.
Exclusive Access: Participate in special learning sessions, collaborative projects, and advocacy campaigns.
Training Phase: February – March 2026 (2 months, virtual)
Bi-weekly virtual sessions with peer collaboration
Mandatory 80% attendance and participation
Completion of two community-based projects
Required to graduate as a Certified Africa Dyslexia Advocate
Active Fellowship: April 2026 – March 2028 (2 years)
Lead at least 2 advocacy projects annually
Represent ADO in national initiatives and forums
Submit regular progress reports
Mentor future advocates and support ADO campaigns
Aged 18–55
Completed at least post-secondary or vocational education
Minimum of 1 year work experience and 1 year volunteer experience
Available for training and community activities
Commit to 2 years of service post-training
Alignment with ADO’s mission and values
Open to professionals from: Education, Media, Health & Mental Health, Public Policy, Social Work, Civil Society, Business, and Social Enterprise
